Charles has over 35 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry having worked for Shell in a variety of roles in the Upstream and Downstream businesses.   With a background in Mathematics and Operational Research and holding an MBA from Henley Management College in the UK, his experience has covered the commercial side of the industry particularly covering aspects such as investment economics; Joint Venture management and petroleum agreements.  

He has extensive knowledge of economic models covering investments in all stages of the exploration, development and production stages under different fiscal regimes ( tax/royalty and PSA) as well as models used for strategic analysis.  

Well versed in the essentials of model management ( standards, assurance etc) , he is primarily interested in how these models can be used in support of major project investments with large timescales and financial exposure in the dynamic conditions of the world's energy markets.
